This project is for a client who wished to relocate her existing beauty studio and expand the square footage of the old location. The client's voice embodies confidence, femininity, and passion. The overarching design goal also reflects the owner's Mexican heritage. The space needed to look sophisticated, soft yet resilient, and evoke a sense of self-care and allure.
The spatial design began with a blank canvas of white walls. Although no architectural changes were made, repairs and refurbishing were necessary. Together with the client, we designed a space with specific programs that cater to her business needs. This includes a private waxing room, dedicated stations for technicians and their lash beds, counter space for the register, and a waiting area to enhance the experience for both employees and clients.
My role in this project was to assist with programming, planning and layout, and space visualization with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
